About Us

HISTORY

The concept of importing specialty coffee to Newton, Massachusetts, United States, originated in 2020 when Noelia Mendez relocated to Newton after marrying Jean Carlo Contreras. In 2021, after the lifting of Covid restrictions, they traveled to San Ramon, Alajuela in Costa Rica to visit Noelia's family. During their visit, they also met Noelia's grandfather, Everardo Salas Araya, who has been the owner of El Tanque and El Monte coffee farms for over 85 years. In 2004, he co-founded Café De Altura with other coffee farmers.
During their trip, Noelia and Jean Carlo brought some coffee bags from the family farms and shared them with their neighbors in Newton. The coffee received positive feedback, which sparked the idea in their minds. However, it wasn't until 2023 that they decided to proceed with the project of importing specialty coffee from San Ramon, Alajuela to Newton MA. To honor Everardo Salas, they established Ever's Distributors LLC as the company name. Ever's Distributors LLC aims to source and import high-quality coffee from San Ramon, Alajuela, with a focus on specialty coffee beans.
